We are looking for an SQE Equality and Quality Supervisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.


The Quality Team is responsible for key areas of the SQE: mitigating circumstances claims; appeals; complaints; and improper conduct and malpractice investigations. You’ll play a key lead role in investigating cases within each of these processes. You will prepare case files for consideration by the relevant panel of solicitors. You will draft communications about the outcome from the panels to candidates.

What you’ll bring to the role


This is a role that will suit a candidate who has strong investigative experience and is looking to apply their skills and develop their experience in a high stakes global professional licensing assessment:


  • Experience of investigating mitigating circumstances, exceptional factors, appeals or comparable investigative work within an assessment environment, or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at drafting clear, concise, and pertinent correspondence and reports

  • Possesses excellent administrative skills, including proficient organisational, time management, and document management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Highly skilled in utilising IT tools, particularly G-Suite

  • Has a history of working with and achieving key performance indicator targets, both individually and collaboratively within a team

  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team setting, contributing to the accomplishment of collective targets and goals

  • Proven experience and capability to work independently in a remote/home-based role, exhibiting self-motivation and discipline

  • Possesses the capacity to swiftly and efficiently learn new systems and processes, adapting to changes with ease

  • Capable of working effectively in a demanding environment and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality

  • Skills and experience in collecting, collating, and reporting data accurately, ensuring compliance with established protocols

  • Has experience applying assessment regulations and associated policies in a challenging professional assessment and/or higher education (HE) environment (desirable)
