Salary: £84,400 - £89,000 per annum
We are looking for a Data Architect to join our team on a fixed-term contract.
As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for data architecture across the KPUK business and establishing data architectural standards and practices.
You will play a key role in the design and implementation of data and information systems with respect to data modelling, data flow, lineage, quality, security, and other non-functional characteristics.
You will be a key member of the data governance organisation, working with data owners, stewards and other business stakeholders and architects to deliver change that is in accordance with defined standards that you will establish, own and contribute to. Ultimately, you will ensure that as an organisation we are able to collate, cleanse, analyse and interpret data to derive meaningful and actionable insights allowing the business to make data-driven decisions and ensure that accurate data is accessible to the right people at the right time.

What you’ll bring to the role
Skills & Experience:
Proven data architecture experience covering analysis, modelling and data and information systems design
Proven experience of data governance and data lifecycles, preferably aligned with DAMA
Experience with data management, database management systems, data
services (including APIs), and enterprise data platform technologies (e.g. Fabric,
Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience architecting data-centric solutions at a conceptual, logical and physical level
Experience with data migration across different platforms and knowledge of migration tools and best practices is a plus
Knowledge of solution architecture and specific architecture domains
Experience in architecting, designing and implementing solutions on AWS and Microsoft Azure stacks, including data pipelines, security and networking
Expertise with data warehousing, data lakes and data lake houses
Experience with master data management software and technologies
Experience with metadata management software and technologies
Experience with ETL technologies including SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory
Working knowledge of agile development, CI/CD, test and data automation
Working knowledge or experience of architecture frameworks, e.g. TOGAF
Expertise in relational and object database systems, e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, DynamoDB, Cosmos
Experience with data analytics/visualisation technologies, e.g. Power BI, Python
Familiar with industry data standards and regulations, e.g. PCI DSS, GDPR, DPA
